‘Thangalaan’ is one of the most anticipated films from the Tamil film industry. Starring actor Vikram in the lead role, the film is directed by Pa Ranjith and was supposed to have been released in January.
However, the date got pushed and a new release date is yet to be announced.
When asked about the update about the release, Pa Ranjith revealed that they are awaiting the date to be announced for the 2024 Indian general elections that will be held between April and May.
Besides Vikram, the film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, Parvathu Thiruvottu, among others.
The film is a period drama set against the backdrop of Kolar Gold Fields. The period actioner will mark Vikram’s first collaboration with Pa Ranjith.
