Actor Manju Warrier revealed that she will play Superstar Rajinikanth’s wife in ‘Vettaiyan’, directed by TJ Gnanavel..
“It’s a quintessential Rajinikanth film. After becoming a fan of his work on Jai Bhim, I was especially thrilled to work with TJ Gnanavel. I’m confident Vettaiyan will match that film’s quality while keeping the essential elements of a Rajinikanth movie,” said Manju Warrier, while promoting her forthcoming Malayalam film Footage.
Regarding the release of ‘Vettaiyan’, Manju Warrier mentioned that it’s slated for October or November, though she was uncertain if the schedule is being maintained. “I still need to complete my dubbing, but the shooting is finished,” she added.
Currently in post-production, the Rajinikanth-starrer boasts a star-studded cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Dushara Vijayan, Abhirami, Rithika Singh, and VJ Rakshan.
Fahadh Faasil and Abhirami have already started dubbing for their roles in this investigative drama.
Music composer Anirudh Ravichander is collaborating with Rajinikanth for the fourth time. SR Kathir handles the cinematography and Philomin Raj is the editor.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the makers of ‘Vettaiyan’ are aiming for a release on 30 October, though official confirmation is pending.
