A number of actress have made their debut in Tamil cinema industry and moved on to other industries and became famous there. A few such actresses are ready to make a comeback into Kollywood this year.
Let’s see some of the actresses who are ready to begin their second innings in Tamil film industry.
Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut made her Kollywood acting debut opposite Jayam Ravi in the action drama ‘Dhaam Dhoom’.
She then went on to perform more Bollywood films. With the biopic ‘Thalaivi’, directed by AL Vijay, the gifted actress is making a comeback to Kollywood. The film is based on the life of former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu J Jayalalithaa.
Aishwarya Rai
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan began her acting career with the Tamil film ‘Iruvar’, directed by Mani Ratnam. The stunning actress subsequently went on to star in other Tamil films before focusing more on Bollywood films.
In the upcoming historical drama ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, directed by Mani Ratnam, Aishwarya Rai will play a dual role.
Isha Koppikar
Isha Koppikar made her Tamil debut in the 1998 film ‘Kaadhal Kavithai’, directed by Agathiyan.
After that, she starred in a number of Tamil films as a leading lady. With ‘Ayalaan’, she is making a comeback in Kollywood, opposite Sivakarthikeyan. She recently completed the film’s shooting.
Pooja Hegde
Pooja Hegde debuted in the Tamil film ‘Mugamoodi’, directed by Mysskin, which launched her acting career. The film, however, underperformed at the box office, and she went on to become famous for her Telugu flicks.
Now, the actress is making a comeback in Tamil film, and she will star alongside Vijay in ‘Thalapathy 65’, directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar.
