Karthi suffered a ligament injury while filming an intense action scene along with SJ Suryah for his upcoming espionage thriller, ‘Sardaar 2’, in Mysuru.
Doctors reportedly advised Karthi to take a week off and give complete rest to his leg.
‘Sardaar 2’ producer Lakshman of Prince Pictures interacted with the media and gave the latest update on Karthi’s injury and recovery.
He said that Karthi had twisted his foot during the action sequence and that it’s not a major injury.
Confirming that it’s a ligament strain, the producer further said that the shooting will resume soon. He went on to say that since the unit has wrapped up all exterior portions, they will shoot the interior portions in the soon-to-commence schedule in Chennai.
‘Sardaar 2’ is being directed by PS Mithran. The film also features Malavika Mohanan, Rajisha Vijayan, and Adhika Ranganath in lead roles.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the soundtrack. The film is scheduled for release on May 31.
