Children politics
“Kuzhanthaigal Munnetra Kazhagam”
-Movie Review
Yogi Babu is a politician who is married and has a child. Meanwhile, he also has a son through an affair.
Both the sons dream of going to go to a bigger place in politics than their father.
Both of them study in the same school and from their school days, they grow up with the characteristics of politicians such as leadership, advertising, elections, and conspiracies.
Did their future turn out as they thought or not forms the core plot of the movie.
Written and directed by N Shankar Dayal, the film attempts to humorously portray the competitive politics and family politics of Tamil Nadu through the eyes of children.
Yogi Babu is at his best wits in the movie as a politician. He has done complete justice to the character. Though some of the comedy falls flat some evoke laughter.
The boys, Imaya Varman and Advait Jai Masthan, who play the protagonists of the story, have acted very well.
Although some of the scenes for them are beyond their age, they have acted very clearly without any hesitation.
The screen presence and acting of the little girl Harika Pedada adds extra speciality to the film.
Comedian Senthil has made his return to the silver screen after a long time and is good to see him.
The songs and background score by Sadhaga Paravaigal Shankar adds strength to the film. Cinematographer J Lakshman Kumar’s cinematography is also no slouch.
