The teaser of ‘Meiyazhagan’, starring actors Karthi and Arvind Swamy in the lead roles, was released by the makers on social media. The film is all set to hit theatres on September 27.
The teaser begins with a train coming to the Thanjavur station. In the next shot, we see Arvind Swamy whose eyes are covered by Karthi who asks to guess who he is, at a marriage hall. We come to know that they are cousins, with the former sporting an unhappy look.
The teaser continues to show various conversations between both the men, one being chirpy while other being silent. At the end, we see Arvind Swamy losing his patience.
Meiyazhagan is directed by filmmaker Prem Kumar, who previously helmed the critically acclaimed romantic drama ’96’, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha.
The upcoming film marks Prem Kumar’s second directorial and first collaboration with Karthi.
Apart from Karthi, the film also stars Arvind Swamy and Sri Divya. ‘Meiyazhagan’ makers released a new poster that shows Karthi along with a bull, which is known to participate in Jallikattu.
