The highly anticipated pan-Indian prequel, ‘Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1’, has officially wrapped its extensive shoot, and to mark the occasion, Hombale Films has released a breathtaking behind-the-scenes (BTS) video that has left audiences stunned.
The making video, titled “#WorldOfKantara,” offers a captivating glimpse into the immense scale, dedication, and artistic vision poured into Rishab Shetty’s dream project.
The actor-director, who also plays the lead, expressed his gratitude for the support of thousands of people over the three-year journey of the film. “After 250 days of shooting for Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1, it’s a wrap,” Shetty announced in the video, emphasizing that the film is “not a movie, it’s a divine force.”
The BTS footage showcases Rishab Shetty’s rigorous training, including intense gym workouts and practice of ancient martial arts like Kalaripayattu, highlighting his commitment to the role.
The video also teases the film’s devotional period drama aesthetic, mounted on a grand scale, with glimpses of Rishab working closely with cinematographer Arvind Kashyap and Hollywood action choreographer Todor Lazarov.
Produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, the prequel to the sensational 2022 blockbuster ‘Kantara’ is set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on October 2, 2025, in multiple languages including Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, and English.
