Kamal Haasan’s psychological action thriller ‘Aalavandhan’, which first released in 2001, is now gearing up for re-release.

It has been officially announced that the film will hit screens on December 8 and that it will release across 1,000 theatres.

The film’s producer Kalaipuli Thanu, who bankrolled the film under his banner V Creations, announced that the film will re-release in over 1,000 screens.

The film, which was considered way ahead of its time, was directed by Suresh Krishna. The star cast comprised Kamal Haasan, Raveena Tandon, Manisha Koirala, Sarath Babu, Gollapudi Maruti Rao, Madurai GS Mani and Milind Gunaji to name a few. Aalavandhan was simultaneously filmed as Abhay.
