A party called Makkal Sevai Katchi in the name of Rajinikanth has been registered at the Election Commission of India.
Though the application of the party mentions Rajinikanth’s name, it originates from a different person.
The party has sought Rajini’s Baba symbol as the party’s symbol and has mentioned autorickshaw as the second preference. It has emerged that the EC has given auto symbol to it.
The party was originally registered by the Election Commission as Anaithindhia Makkal Shakthi Kazhagam but rechristened as ‘Makkal Sevai Katchi’ through an amended EC notification issued a couple of months ago.
