SP Suresh Kumar has bagged the Best Director Award at the 15th UFMC Goa International Film Festival -2025 for his movie ‘Uthami’.
The Malayalam movie starring Gayatri Suresh in the lead role and produced by K. Senthamaraikanan is now available for streaming on ThanthiOne You Tube channel.
‘Uthami’ is a heroine centric film which has good content at its core. A 35 year old lady enters a village with a 5 year old girl but passes away. The little girl grows up in a martial art master’s house. She goes on to secure a gold medal in the university, she aims to become an IAS, but her father refuses. What happens after that forms the core plot of the movie.
The movie has already garnered 2.6 lakh views and the director SP Suresh Kumar is being appreciated for his exemplary work in the movie.
Director SP Suresh Kumar said,”I would like to make movies with good content that can easily resonate with the audience. If Tamil producers give me a chance I can make movies with good content just like ‘Tourist Family’. I am sure that I can give box office hits.”
Apart from the 15th UFMC Goa International Film Festival, the SP Suresh Kumar also also bagged the Best Director Awards at Karnataka International film festivals and Dubai International Film Festivals.
