The Film Employees Federation of South India had recently requested the State government to allow film shootings during the lockdown.
However,has now said that all shootings will be stopped till 31 May.
The decision is said to have been made following the rise in the number of coronavirus cases during the shooting.
Selvamani said that numerous cases have been reported despite following the government guidelines and strictly implementing safety measures.
“All film-shooting and television related works will not take place till 31 May,” he added.
