However, fans were in for a disappointment when the Kamal Haasan-Mani Ratnam film chose to do away with Muththa Mazhai.
Fans expressed their disappointment on social media against the team for doing away with the song.
Directed by Maniratnam, the film revolves around a mafia kingpin who adopts a young boy after his father dies at a police shootout. However, years later, we see truths coming to the fore, and the two forces now stand against each other.
