The trailer of ‘Election’, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor and director Vijay Kumar in the lead role, was released by the makers on social media.
The film is set to hit big screens on May 17. The upcoming film is written and directed by filmmaker Thamizh of ‘Seththumaan’ fame.
In the trailer we see a character talking about the importance of a towel for a politician, with intercuts about various scenes from elections and campaigns. We are also shown a young couple who share some lovable moments and get married eventually.
The husband is later seen to be standing as a contestant for an upcoming election, while his mother is seen advising him against joining politics.
Without revealing the plot, we see face-off happening between candidates who are sons of a leader and cadet, contesting against each other.
‘Election’ also stars actors Preethi Asrani, Richa Joshi, George Maryan, Paval Navageethan, and Dileepan.
‘Election’ is backed by Aditya under the banner of Reel Good Films. The technical crew of Election consists of music scored by Govind Vasantha with cinematography handled by Mahendiran Jayaraju.
