While there has been no official confirmation from the filmmakers, industry insiders suggest the shift is being considered to capitalize on the festive season.

Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, ‘Kaantha’ is a period drama set in the 1950s that explores an ego clash between a veteran filmmaker (Samuthirakani) and a rising star (Dulquer Salmaan).

The teaser, which debuted on Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday, has already impressed audiences with its black-and-white frames and promises a gripping narrative rich with themes of ambition and betrayal.

The film is a joint production between Dulquer’s Wayfarer Films and Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media, adding to the high expectations.
