I am deeply overwhelmed with the Tamil Nadu State Government’s gesture of choosing me as a recipient of the prestigious ‘Kalaimamani Awards’. I extend my gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Hon’ble minister for Information and Publicity, Hob’ble Minister for Tamil Official Language and Tamil Culture for this great honour. I thank my father Shri Isari Velan, for being a great inspiration.
If not for his insatiable passion and dedication towards cinema and performing arts, I wouldn’t be here as a part of the film fraternity now. I thank my mentors, friends, and family for respecting my passion for films and guiding me accordingly.
The Press and Media friends have been the backbone of my success. They have been my extended family, who never missed to appreciate as well share their criticism and opinions that has unconditionally helped me to re-evaluate myself, to make more movies that cater to the universal audience.
This honour has instilled more responsibility in me to carry forward my role as a producer to bring forth more good movies to the audience as well as to continue my on-going support to the retired cine and drama artistes in various ways with the same vigor and dedication.
