‘Kanda Naal Mudhal’ director V Priya is all set to make a comeback with a romantic drama with Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Vasath Ravi in lead roles.
The film, said to be titled ‘Pon Ondru Kanden’, is a love triangle. Yuvan Shankar Raja scores the music for this romantic drama. The makers are reportedly planning to make an official announcement about the film soon.
Interestingly, the title ‘Pon Ondru Kanden’ is reportedly that of a shelved Tamil project. Originally headlined by Shivaji Ganesan, the rights for the 1974 film were initially bought by director Gautham Vasudev Menon (GVM), who had announced its remake in 2016.
The film which was supposed to be helmed by Senthil Veerasamy had roped in Vishnu Vishal and Tammanaah to play the lead roles. The first-look poster for the film was also released; however, the movie got shelved.
Now, director Priya has decided to only use the title while making a completely new script that revolves around a love triangle.
