Director Lingusamy has addressed the ongoing legal reports regarding a cheque bounce case, clarifying that while a Chennai court has sentenced him to one year in prison, he has not been arrested.

The filmmaker and his brother were granted a 30-day window to appeal the verdict, which stems from a long-standing financial dispute with PVP Capital involving the stalled film ‘Enni Ezhu Naal’.

Lingusamy issued a statement expressing his respect for the judicial system and his intention to settle the matter legally through a higher court.

Despite these personal challenges, he continues to focus on his upcoming directorial ventures and script sessions for his next major project.
