Dhanush’s upcoming bilingual film ‘Kubera’, directed by Sekhar Kammula, might have hit a roadblock.
The latest reports suggest that the film is facing a copyright issue pertaining to the title ‘Kubera’.
The recent reports stated that a producer named Karmikonda Narendra had already registered the title ‘Kubera’ with the Telangana Film Chamber and that their film had completed its shooting.
However, the producer now alleges that Shekhar Kammula has used the name for his film with Dhanush and that he tried to talk to the Telangana Film Chamber about it but has not received a response yet. He is now seeking to resolve the issue through legal proceedings.
However, the producers of Dhanush’s ‘Kubera’ want to put it all to rest and will likely resolve the copyright issue to avoid legal complications.
Reportedly, discussions are taking place and a final agreement will be made soon. If the dispute does not favour Dhanush-starrer’s team, the makers may have to choose an alternative title.
