Theater owners in Tamil Nadu have decided not to shut down theaters. The decision was made after the exhibitors held a virtual meeting.
During the meeting, it was decided to continue screening with existing films like ‘Karnan’, ‘Sulthan’, a few MGR movies and dubbed Tollywood flicks.
The meeting was held after the State government recently announced night curfew and had also said that there should be only 50 per cent occupancy in theaters.
It may be noted that ‘MGR Magan’ and ‘Plan Panni Pannanum’ which were slated to be released in April have been postponed. The release of a few other films like ‘Doctor’, ‘Kodiyil Oruvan’ and ‘Laabam’ among others, too, looks uncertain in the current situation.
