Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has lauded director Mari Selvaraj’s latest film, ‘Bison Kaalamaadan’ starring Dhruv Vikram, calling it “another diamond in Mari Selvaraj’s film crown.”
The film, which has a reported worldwide collection nearing Rs 50 crore and a strong hold in Tamil Nadu, is loosely inspired by the life of Kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan.
In line with Mari Selvaraj’s previous works like Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan, the film carries his trademark style of powerful symbolism, social commentary, and animal metaphors.
The CM specifically praised the movie for its mature portrayal of the intersection of sports, social struggle, and politics, noting how the director successfully conveyed a “sharp message” to the audience.
