It has been 30 years since director K S Ravikumar made his debut in cinema. In other words, his first film ‘Puriyadha Pudhir’ has completed three decades of its release.
To mark the occasion, actor-filmmaker Cheran, a former assistant of Ravikumar, has recollected some nostalgic moments in a post on his social media page.
“First film for director KS Ravikumar, which is also my first film as an assistant director. I learned what hard work is in my first film itself. The film was wrapped up in just 28 days,” the ‘Vetri Kodi Kattu’ and ‘Porkaalam’ maker said.
Cheran further said that the popular production house in the 1990s, Super Good Films is an unforgettable place in his life and that it is a place were a lot of directors we born. “Super Good Films has been a like mother’s home for all of us. I worked in a lot of movies in that company,” he said.
Revealing that he has appreared in one of the scenes in ‘Puriyadha Pudhir’, Cheran also wished his mentor Ravikumar for completing 30 years in the film industry as a director and expressed hope that acclaimed filmmaker would deliver more hit movies.
