Andhadhun’ remake: Mohan Raja out, Aishwarya Rai in?

Director Mohan Raja has walked out of the Tamil remake of Hindi hit ‘Andhadhun’. Now, the film starring Prashanth in the lead will be helmed by JJ Fredrick of Ponmagal Vandhaal fame.

It is said that Raja opted out of the project due to his other commitments. Following this, Prashanth’s father Thiagarajan who is holding the rights of the film has roped in Fredrick to direct the remake.

It may be recalled that Thiagarajan played a key role in ‘Ponmagal Vandhaal’. Meanwhile, there is a strong buzz that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would play a key role in ‘Andhadhun’ remake.

Interestingly, Prashanth and Aishwarya Rai had acted together in Shankar-directed ‘Jeans’ in the 1990s. It is now said the actress would play the role essayed by Tabu in the original.
