Allu Arjun not doing ‘SKTKS’

After ‘Naa Peru Surya’ bombed at the box-office, Allu Arjun wanted to do a film with some difference and Bunny Vasu and GA2 Picture reportedly acquired the remake rights of Bollywood flick ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ for Allu Arjun.

However, director Trivikram did not like the idea of remaking ‘SKTKS’ and that was how ‘‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’. Now that the film has become an industry hit, it is said, ‘SKTKS’ remake is unlikely to happen.

‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ (Sonu’s Titu’s Sweety) is a 2018 Hindi comedy film directed and co-produced by Luv Ranjan. Starring Nushrat Bharucha, Kartik Aaryan and Sunny Singh Nijjar, it also features Alok Nath and Ishita Raj Sharma in supporting roles and Sonnalli Seygall in cameo.

The film marks the fourth collaboration between Ranjan, Aaryan and Bharucha as well as the third time Singh and Sharma collaborate with them. ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ was released in India on 23 February 2018. It went on to become commercially successful despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and was declared a blockbuster at the box office.
