Akshara upset with Vijay film, not so with Ajith’s

While stating that she regretted playing a role in Vijay-starrer ‘Thuppakki’ directed by A R Murugadoss, Akshara Gowda has said it was cinematographer Santosh Shivan who actually helped her get a role in Ajith-starrer ‘Arrambam’ helmed by Vishnuvardhan.

She said, “The only good thing about Thuppakki for me is Thalapathy, Murugadoss sir and Santosh Sivan sir, otherwise what role did I do? I regret playing that role, not with whom I shot.”

The actress added: “They told me I play Kajal Aggarwal’s friend, the explanation was different. I was new, I didn’t know how it would work. There are no hard feelings, even today if anyone of them call me I would work.”

In the 2012 super hit movie, Akshara played a very small role. Jayram introduces her to Vijay and requests him to marry her, wile Kajal Aggarwal later finds out and tells Vijay that Akshara works for adult websites.

Akshara has has appeared in Hindi, Tamil and Kannada films. She made her Bollywood debut in Priyadarshan’s ‘Rangrezz’ in 2013.
