Some of the major films in Kollywood were put on hold due to Covid and election. Now, since the elections are over, celebrities have commenced work for their movies.
On Thursday (8 April) morning, superstar Rajinikanth left for Hyderabad to attend the shoot of ‘Annatthe’. Sources said the schedule there would go on for a couple of weeks.
Kamal Haasan was super busy with the campaigning for his party Makkal Needhi Maiam. Now the actor has commenced work for his next project without taking a break. It is said that Kamal will shoot for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘Vikram’.
Lokesh Kanagaraj took to Twitter and shared a candid picture with Kamal Haasan and captioned it ‘Aarambikkalaangala’. It may be noted that Lokesh had recently recovered from Covid-19.

The movie directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar is produced by Sun Pictures and is tentatively titled as ‘Thalapathy 65’. A picture of Vjay standing at the airport for security clearance on Wednesday is going viral on social media. Last month, ‘Thalapathy 65’ was launched with a customary pooja at Sun TV studios in Chennai. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead in the movie.
Ajith’s ‘Valimai’ is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The movie directed by H Vinoth has huge expectations. Most portions have already been shot and infact Ajith had even dubbed his portions for the movie.
It is said that only a stunt sequence has to be shot and it is scheduled to take place in Spain. It is said that the team had waited for the elections to get over.
Sources now say that the team will soon leave for Spain to shoot the remaining portions. Ajith was last seen in ‘Nerkonda Parvai’ which was also directed by H Vinoth and bankrolled by Boney Kapoor.
Udhayanidhi Stalin took a brief pause from cinema to carry out a State-wide tour seeking votes for DMK. Now that the election is over, he has turned back his attention to cinema.
It is said that Udhayanidhi Stalin will start shooting for his flick with Arunraja Kamaraja. The movie is the Tamil remake of the Bollywood flick ‘Article 15’.
The film will have Udhayanidhi reprising Ayushmann Khurrana’s role of a high-rank police officer who is posted to a rural area with caste divide problems.
The flick is bankrolled by Boney Kapoor under his Bayview Projects along with Zee Studios and Raahul for Romeo Pictures. It may be noted that Udhayanidhi has also projects with directors Magizh Thirumeni and Suseenthiran.
