DLearners Hosts Inclusion Mela: A Journey Towards Inclusive Education at Stella Maris College

 

Chennai, May 4,2023:  India – DLearners in association with NSS and YRCS Club of Stella Maris college hosted the Inclusion Mela: A Journey Towards Inclusive Education. The event was a resounding success with over 300 attendees, including educators, parents, students, and other community members, coming together to celebrate the importance of inclusive education.

Mrs. Poongothai Aladi Aruna Ex- Information and Technology Minister, Govt of TamilNadu was the chief Guest for the event and it featured a wide range of activities and performances, including a storytelling session by Janaki Sabesh, a dance performance by the talented NSS/YRC students of Stella Maris College, a screening of a video showcasing DLearners’ remarkable journey, a theatre art performance by NSS/YRC students mentored by V. Balakrishnan, and a panel discussion on the topic of inclusion. The panel was moderated by Subha Chandrasekar, Academic Director of DLearners, and featured renowned experts in the field of education, including Rama Lakshmi, Ganana Jyothi, Deepa Arjun, Manasi Naga Valluri, Hannah Shirley and Dr. Alima Zehra

The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of inclusive education and to highlight the achievements of DLearners, a leading e-learning platform dedicated to making education easy and fun for children with Dyslexia. The event was made possible by the generous support of Vanguard Logistics and Enable India, as well as the dedicated efforts of Stella Maris College Principal, Management and students, Coordinators of the NSS and YRCS Club and The DLearners team.

“We are thrilled with the success of the Inclusion Mela and grateful to everyone who contributed to making it a memorable event,” said Mr. Abhilash Kannan, Head of Growth and Partnerships at DLearners. “Through this event, we hope to promote the values of early identification and early intervention in schools and promote inclusivity and diversity in education.”
