69th National Film Awards 2023: ‘Kadaisi Vivasayi’ director Manikandan and Madhavan conferred with National Awards
Director Manikandan of ‘Kadaisi Vivasayi’ fame received the National Award from President Droupadi Murmu during the 69th National Film Awards ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi today.










Directed by Manikandan, ‘Kadaisi Vivasayi’ was released on February 11, 2022, and the movie starred Nallandi and Vijay Sethupathi in important roles. The movie also won a special mention at the 69th National Film Festival.
Madhavan’s directorial debut, ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, won the award for Best Feature Film and Madhavan received the award during the ceremony. . The movie is a biography of the scientist Nambi Narayanan.
Apart from these two, Shreya Goshal won Best Playback Singer for ‘Iravin Nizhal’ directed by R Parthiban.
President Droupadi Murmu conferred the awards to the winners, including Best Actor winners Allu Arjun, Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon.
SS Rajamouli helmed ‘RRR’ won the maximum number of awards by a single film.
Devi Sri Prasad also received an award for Pushpa, for the Best Music Direction (Songs).
