However, a few celebrities took this break from their professional life as an opportunity to do a few things in the personal lives. Using the time available away from work, quite a few celebrities got married this year.

Kajal Aggarwal

Kajal Aggarwal’s announcement about her marriage came as a surprise to her fans. The actress entered wedlock with businessman Gautam Kitchulu on 30 October. The wedding took place at Mumbai during which only close friends and relatives were invited. Pictures from the marriage went viral. Soon after the marriage the couple left for Maldives to celebrate their honeymoon.

Sana Khan

Sana Khan who rose to fame with Silambarasan’s ‘Silambattam’ got married to Anas Saiyad. Prior to her marriage Sana Khan had announced that she is leaving the entertainemnt industry. The wedding took place in a private ceremony in which only close relatives and friends were part of.
The actress took to her social media to share the first pictures of her wedding with her fans and shared that they ‘married each other for the sake of Allah.’
“Loved each other for the sake of Allah. Married each other for the sake of Allah. May Allah keep us united in this duniya and reunite us in jannah…” she posted.
Post their marriage the couple spent their vacation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Miya George

Actress Miya married Ashwin Phillip on 12 September at Kochi. Since the Covid lockdown norms was still in effect it was said that only 20 persons attended their marriage.
On the work front Miya George plays the female lead in ‘Cobra’, starring Vikram and directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu.

Rana Daggubati

Rana Dagubatti and Miheeka Bajaj announced about their relationship in May. They took their relationship to the next level and got married on 8 August. Though only close family and friends were invited for the wedding it was held in a grand manner at the Ramanaidu studios in Hyderabad.

Yogi Babu

Yogi Babu, one of the leading comedians in Kollywood got married to Manju Bhargavi at Tiruttani Murugan temple. Though the marriage took place in February, the reception was planned to be held later in the year. However, it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Mahat Raghavendra

Mahat Raghavendra married his long-time girlfriends Prachi Mishra in a private ceremony. The couple got engaged in 2019. The beach wedding was attended by close family and friends including actor Silambarasan and Anirudh.

Aarav

At a simple yet elegant event following Covid-19 protocols in Chennai in the first week of September, actor and ‘Bigg Boss’ participant Arav entered wedlock with Gautham Vasudev Menon-directed ‘Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha’ actress Raahei.
