TN CM MK Stalin announces more relaxations, lockdown extended till 5 July

Chief Minister  M K Stalin today announced several relaxations for Chennai, Chengalpet, Tiruvallur and Kanchipuram districts. He also said that the lockdown in the State has been extended till 5 July.

Stalin said  private offices will be allowed to function with 100 per cent  of their staff.  A statement from the Chief Minister said shopping complexes and malls in these districts would be allowed to function between 9 am and 7 pm.

However permission has not been given for opening of theaters and gaming centres.  Eateries in commercial complexes and malls would be allowed to offer only takeaways.

Places of worships can be opened, however no archanas, festivals and consecrations should take place, the statement added.

Inter-district and intra-district public transport is allowed in 23 districts with more relaxations.
