With the Tamil Nadu government giving permission for film shoots, Tamil film industry is gearing up to resume works on movies which came to an abrupt halt in March when the Covid-19 induced lockdown was introduced.
However, sources say shoots would not resume from tomorrow (September 1 ), as allowed by the government. “It will take a few days and things would get a restart on auspicious dates,” sources add.
In a statement announcing various relaxations on Sunday evening, the government said shoots can resume with 75 people on the set. It also that the team shooting should follow all protocols.
The government also said that public will not be allowed on the sets of the film. Soon after the announcement, a few producers and actors took to their social media handles to thank the government for allowing film shoots to resume.
It may be recalled that television shoots started a few weeks back in Tamil Nadu with safety protocols.
