With the latest bulletin from MGM Healthcare, where veteran singer S P Balasubrahmanyam is getting treated ever since he was diagnosed with Covid-19, saying that he continues to require ventilator and ECMO support and warrants an extended stay in ICU, multiple theories are doing rounds about his health.
One among them say that he is set to undergo liver transplant and is waiting for the organ. Another speculation says the singer is having breathing difficulties and is undergoing treatment as advised by foreign experts.
On Tuesday night, the bulletin from the hospital said, “Thiru SP Balasubrahmanyam who has been admitted due to Covid-19 at MGM Healthcare remains stable and continues to require ventilator and ECMO support. He remains awake, responsive and his vital parameters are satisfactory.His current clinical condition warrants an extended stay in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).”
Meanwhile, his son SP Charan said in a video statement, “We were expecting dad’s lungs to improve to a point when we could remove the ventilator. Unfortunately, we are still not at that point. But the good news is that dad is covid negative. But negative and positive doesn’t really matter, because we are expecting dad’s lungs to heal fast.”
