The Tamilnadu government today extended lockdown in the State till 31 July. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami after a meeting with health experts.
In a statement, he said that the lockdown down restrictions which were
in force prior to the 12-day complete lockdown from June 19 in
Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram and Chengelpattu and in Madurai
prior to June 24, would continue till July 31.
He announced total and complete lockdown, without any relaxations,
on all Sundays in the month of July to prevent spread of the virus.
