A lot of popular Kollywood celebrities are making a beeline to OTT platform, amid expectations and predictions that this new avenue would grow manifold and co-exist with theatres. SURIYA
After releasing his production venture ‘Ponmagal Vandhaal’, which had his wife Jyothika in the lead, on Amazon Prime, Suriya is now getting ready to make his foray on the platform.
Suriya is reportedly approached by Mani Ratnam to play a pivotal role in a part of the forthcoming anthology the director is doing for Amazon Prime Video.
Although nothing much is revealed about the forthcoming venture, reports have it that the segment starring Suriya would be directed by ‘180’ fame Jayendra.
SARATH KUMAR
Sarath Kumar will feature on OTT in the upcoming screen adaptation of Archana Sarat’s novel ‘Birds of Prey’, – The Hunt Begins’.
“Sarath Kumar sir was not only kind and humble enough to launch the book of a debut author but he has also taken it to the screen,” Archana posted.
Sarath Kumar’s wife Radikaa Sarath Kumar will bankroll the project under Radaan Mediaworks. She posted: “A Good day to welcome you to the OTT world! Happy Birthday Sarath!

VIJAY SETHUPATHI
Vijay Sethupathi has confirmed in a recent interview that he will be acting in two web shows. He, however, did not reveal details on the director and the platform.
According to reports, the ‘Sethupathi’ and ‘Soodhu Kavvum’ actor has also completed a short film with his daughter and Regina Cassandra and it’s likely to release online.
PRAKASH RAJ
Prakash Raj will be seen playing a pivotal role in a web series being made by National Award winning filmmaker Vetrimaaran. It is said that it is part of a Netflix anthology on honour killing.
TAMANNAH
Tamannah Bhatia is making her digital debut with web series, titled ‘The November Story’. The series will be streamed on Hotstar and the web series is being made in Tamil.
‘The November Story’ showcases the relationship between a criminal father and his daughter. GM Kumar is on the board to play the role of the father in this web series.
SAI PALLAVI
Sai Pallavi is part of the web series being made by National Award winning filmmaker Vetrimaaran. It is said that it is part of a Netflix anthology on honour killing and has Prakash Raj playing Sai Pallavi’s father.
ANJALI
Director Vignesh Shivan of ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ and ‘Thaana Serndhu Koottam’ has reportedly finalised Bollywood actress Kalki Kochelin and Anjali as the protagonists for his segment of an anthology on Netflix.
SAMANTHA & PRIYAMANI
Samantha Akkineni has completed her portions in the second season of Amazon Prime’s hit show ‘The Family Man’ starring Manoj Bajpayee and Priyamani.
KAJAL AGGARWAL
Kajal has completed shooting for her portions in director Venkat Prabhu’s web show for Hotstar. Vaibhav Reddy, a close aide of Venkat Prabhu, is said to be playing a pivotal role in it.
