“Where there is a will, there is a way”
This is a power which is derived from your inner-self and that is the Divine power, and called “will power”.
Will Power is rediscovering the greatest human strength.
Doctors many time say that the medicines and treatment help only 50% and the cure depends on the patients “will power”, which is the other 50%.
Whenever you decide to complete a particular job which otherwise seems to be difficult, your “will power” to complete the mission or job, makes it possible. All energy in the body gets oriented at one point to complete a job and that is the “will power”.
1. My friend’s Mother, aged about 70 years, heard from some program that, if one can understand Sanskrit and recite the hymns or mantras, it will give lot of power.
She then decided, to join Sanskrit class and religiously started attending the course about 2 kms away from her residence on a daily basis in the prescribed hours and within a year she had learnt the language completely.
This was only possible with her ‘will’ to learn Sanskrit at that age. As they say, age is just a number and it is the spirit that keeps you young.
2. The same person suddenly developed a problem with her vocal chord in the next two years and Doctors suggested that she has to be operated and in the process, she may lose her voice and power to speak.
The chances are 50/50, the Doctors said. She decided to go for the operation which was fixed 20 days hence.
Many of us would have fell further sick thinking and brooding over, as to what will happen, whether we will be able to speak or not after the operation.
She did not waste even a single minute. Called her son to get about 20 cassettes which will run for 90 minutes each.
Those days CD’s and pen drive were not there and it was all recorded in a cassette.
She started recording all the songs she would love to sing. All the mantras and hymns she would say in a week, all cooking recipes, all directions for home medicines in case, if everyone gets sick, and all other typical instructions a mother of that age, would convey to her sons, daughter-in-laws, husband and grand children.
She completed recording all those and was ready for the operation.
As she got operated and the Doctors came out and said that they could complete the operation without affecting the vocal chord and she can speak as normally she would.
Again, the operation was successful as the mother was not bothered at all. She had completed her recordings with all good faith and with will to come back, she went in to the operation theatre and the results were there.
I prefer referring to living personalities as examples as there is a proof in front of us and today’s kids and young people wants proof of everything.
3. And just now, when I was writing this article, my friend and he is senior to me and aged 70 years asked me to guide him to upload a particular video on “you tube” and he is always dependent on his nephew and due to lockdown he could not reach him.
Just to make him comfortable, I told him brother, it is no big deal and with some efforts you will catch on to it and you are a genius yourself.
This mooted his energy from inside and he calls up in next 30 mts and was full of joy and happiness that, he was able to upload it and in future, he does not require any support and he willl handle it himself.
The “will” to learn and upload the video made it possible. When we have the “will”, everything under the sky is possible. The “willingness gets all the energy in the body at one point to achieve your goal”.
4. Lastly, I would like to narrate my own experience on this. Though, all through my life, I have always touched and achieved the difficult targets only through the inner strength of Divine and that is the “Will Power”.
I will take you through a recent happening and this may help many people, to look at their inner strength.
People who know me, realise how much a food loving and tasty food craze, I am.
My job n profession demanded a lot of travel within and outside India, and I was sure in every place as to which type of food or snack was the best in each of the places.
Even simple lunch, would be made interesting and presented and people around me always enjoyed and some condemned also as I may increase my weight, which was already heavy.
Sweets, given a chance, I would eat half a kg of katli’s at one time.
One fine day, I decided to go on a fasting in the name of my Guru and Swamy. I will do a fasting for 48 days by eating one meal a day.
I will have only water if required in the interim period in a limit, otherwise eat only once in 24 hours.
No coffee or tea in between. What was allowed was a mini Coke just towards evening, if I feel little acidity.
To my surprise and to the dismay of everyone around, I went through this regime strictly for 48 days.
How was this possible? Only by the divine power derived from the inner-self and that is the “Will Power”.
We all now require the “will power” more so, to live with Corona and how do we keep it away from not catching on to us.
Using face mask whenever you are in public space and maintain social distancing in all that we do, will make our “will” to keep Corona away successful.
In day to day life, many people you interact prefer to use “shall” rather than “will” on any given job. A person who is really confident derives the strength from his inner self and says, “I will do it”
That power and energy brought in to one point is the Divine called “Will Power”.
