What started on a mild note on Monday last has reached a high now, as post-production works of various movies are now happening on a full swing in Tamil film industry. As a result, many technicians are back to work.
Ever since the third week of March, works came to a standstill in Kollywood to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Following Tamilnadu government’s permission to carry out post-production by following social media protocols, works restarted on Monday.
Currently, works are happening on a brisk pace for films like Kamal Haasan-Shankar’s ‘Indian 2’, Prabhu Solomon’s Rana Daggubati-starrer ‘Kaadan’, Vishal’s ‘Chakra’, Trisha’s ‘Raangi’ directed by Saravanan, ‘Kabadadaari’, ‘Thalli Pogathey’ and ‘IPC 376’.
Accepting a request from industry bodies, the Tamil Nadu government last weekallowed them to carry out post-production works of movies and said works could begin from May 11.
The government had urged the industry to follow all the safety guidelines instructed by health officials including social distancing and proper hand sanitization. It also directed the production houses to obtain proper passes for the technicians who are involved in the post production.
