There were reports recently that Kamal Haasan-starrer ‘Indian 2’, directed by Shankar, has been shelved as the project was facing one trouble after the other. However, it has now emerged that the big budget film has not been dropped.
In fact, with the Tamil Nadu government giving permission for post-production works to resume despite the ongoing lockdown to prevent the spread of Covid-19, it is said the work of ‘Indian 2’ have got a restart.
It is said that since Monday, the editing work of ‘Indian 2’ is taking place at two places, in a bid to catch up the missed time. ‘Indian 2’, a mega budget project involving big names like Kamal Haasan, director Shankar and Lyca Productions, had been witnessing one hurdle after another.
First the shoot was delayed due to various reasons. Then a ghastly mishap took place on the sets of the movie, killing three persons. Then the shoot of the mega budget film came to a halt due to coronavirus lockdown.
Hence, reports in a section of the media claimed that the makers are planning to shelve the project. However, Mykollywood.com said “there is no confirmation about this and a clarity is expected to emerge once the lockdown is lifted”. And, clarity has emerged now.
