Cinema halls in TN to reopen from November 10

In a Deepavali bonanza to film industry and fans, the Tamil Nadu government today said theatres in the State can be reopened from November 10.

Announcing more lockdown relaxations, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami however said only 50 per cent occupancy with Covid-19 safety measures are allowed in cinema halls.

He also said schools and colleges are allowed to reopen from 16 November and schools can function with students of classes 9, 10, 11 & 12.

Chennai suburban trains can be operated with guidelines issued by the Union government. Also, up to 150 persons can attend film and TV shoots, the Chief Minister said.
