For ghost movie lovers
Uthra
– Review
Newly wed couples in a village are haunted by a ghost named Uthra. A group of six youngsters comprising three boys and three girls come to the village with the intention of helping the people there. Initially the villagers do not understand their intention and hate them.
However, later they start supporting the group. Then the team of six members along with the help of the villagers finds the flashback of the ghost and those responsible for her death. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
Directed by Naveen Krishna, the movie opens at a slow pace, it slowly gains momentum in the second half. Raksharaj who played the ghost is the major plus of the movie.
She is energetic throughout the flick. Hero Vishwa gets to play the role of an innocent village man.
The team of six members have also acted well. Rest of the cast have delivered what was expected from them. Kausalya plays a cameo of a goddess.
Music by Shri Saideva is good. Cinematography by A Ramesh has captured the village beautifully. ‘Uthra’ is a fairly engaging film.
