Shoot The Kuruvi

– Review

The conflict between a common man and a ruthless villain is the main theme of Shoot the Kuruvi. A common man attacks a villain and they both travel in different paths.
However, their journey is interconnected and what happens next forms the rest of the story.
The major strength of the movie is the performances of the lead actors. The movie opens with a non linear screenplay and kudos to director Mathivaanan for keeping the proceedings interesting throughout the runtime.
Mathivaanan has ensured that the audience are entertained throughout the flick and the way he has narrated the script is commendable.
The humour is very organic and can be easily related by the audience. The lead cast comprising Arjai, Suresh Chakravarthi, Aashiq Hussain, Gypsy Nawin and Shiva Sha Ra have all got into the skin of their respective characters and have delivered some top notch performances.
Each and every character makes a mark and impresses the audience. Cinematography by Brendon Shushanth is effective.
Music by John Beniel, Shrikanth Lakshman and Nyuzaii gels well with the theme of the movie. K Kamalakannan’s editing work is crisp and neat.
Rating: 3.5/5
