– Review
The villagers of Karuvarai in Dindigul district are living morally and harmoniously with separate laws for themselves.
Knowing this excellence of Karuvarai village, the Central government announces the best village award, and the villagers refuse to receive it.
Due to this, the enraged minister tries to stigmatise the village. Why do the villagers refuse to receive the award?
What are the measures taken by the Minister to stigmatise the village. What is the connection between Vellaichaami and the village forms the rest of the story.
Director Jayachandran has created an idealistic village using this imagination. Though it is not possible to have such a village in reality, the concept is good.
Though the concept seems to be old, the screenplay and presentation is impressive.
Hari as a do-gooder has done a decent role. The way in which he feels for the situation of the villagers is impressive.
The chemistry between Roshan Basheer and Ashika Ashokan is good. The pair has delivered what was expected from them.
Seasoned actors like Radha Ravi, Aruldoss and Kausalya have done complete justice to their respective characters. Ravi Mariya as usual shines as the antagonist.
Cinematography by S S Ravimaran Sivan has captured the proceedings in an effective manner. Music by Biju Jacob suits the theme of the movie.
