Has the right intention
Kulasamy
– Review
The movie begins with the death of a college student who is a victim of a gangrape. While one of the suspects is caught by the police, he is mysteriously killed by a man accompanied by a dog.
Meanwhile, Vemal, an auto-rickshaw driver is struggling to cope up with the demise of his sister who wanted to become a medical practitioner.
A kingpin heads a notorious gang who sexually exploit underprivileged girls enrolled in private medical college. How all these stories are connected forms the crux of Kulasamy.
Directed by Sakthi Saravanan, the movie is about the sexual crimes against women and the abuse of power by men in top positions.
While the intention is good, the writing could have been better as the screenplay is predictable.
Vemal has once again delivered a strong performance which compliments his role well.
He carries the entire film on his shoulders and does complete justice to his character.
Tanya Hope has done her part well and is impressive in the screentime that she gets.
Rest of the cast including Vinodhini Vaidyanadhan have done their part well.
Music by Mahalingam is impressive. Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are appreciable as well.
