A mother from Kancheepuram makes all the arrangements for her daughter’s marriage. Right from booking the marriage hall to all other marriage related works, everything is done. But she does not reveal who the groom is.
When people start to ask her about the groom, she visits an astrologer and asks him to find a suitable groom for her daughter.
The astrologer gives her a suggestion. Following this the mother listens to the story of a few youngsters thinking that one of them might become her son-in-law. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
Director of the film Ezhilan also plays the lead role in the flick. Without much experience in the cine field, he has made a decent film and has delivered a good performance.
Deepa Shankar as the mother is apt in the role and shines in the character. The rest of the cast in the movie have also performed well.
The movie has its own twists and turns which will keep the audience engaged.
There are several backstories attached to each character and each one of them is enjoyable.
Tamim Ansari’s music gels well with the flick. J Sabarish’s camera has captured Kancheepuram and Karaikal beautifully. Editing by Vijay Velukutty is good.
