Arulnithi is a new cop and the first case he picks up leads him to Ooty, where he is made to work with Pavithra Marimuthu.
As he starts investigating the case, he is led to a bus which is travelling from Ooty to Coimbatore.
What happens to the different characters inside the bus, and what is the main reason why they all are brought together forms the crux of Diary.
Story by Innasi Pandiyan is interesting. The only problem is that the director does not get into the core plot of the movie as soon as possible.
Instead the first half is made to lag with several speed breakers. The movie picks up pace in the second half and things become all the more interesting.
Arulnithi is convincing as the cop. This is one of his best performances till date.
Rest of the cast have also done their part well. Sha Ra’s comedy works out here and there.
Aravinnd Singh’s camerawork is impressive and takes the audience on a journey.
Ron Ethan Yohann’s BGM is brilliant and adds intensity to the story. Rest of the technical aspects are good as well.
