Story of land and landmines

Aaram Nilam

– Review

Tamil people are used to find and remove the landmines that are placed in the battle zone during the Srilankan war. This work is being carried out by an organisation.

Navayuga, whose husband went missing during the war, is also part of the team. What are the hurdles that she faces during her journey forms the rest of the story.

Director Anantha Ramanan has taken up a sensitive issue and has conveyed it effectively.

Navayuga Kugarajah, Jeevesvaran Anbarasi, Manmathan Basky have all understood their characters and have performed well. Navayuga shines in her role as a suffering single mother. The technical aspects of the movie are also good.

Siva Santhakumar’s camera has effectively captured the war zone. Chinthaka Jayakodi’s music suits the mood of the movie.

Rating: 3.5/5
