“ZERRO Women Honours 2026” Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan honoured at ZERRO Women Honours 2026

Instead, I would love everyone gathered here to speak up and share their voices. The idea for the ZERRO Women Honours actually came from a question I faced when I was announced as the third runner-up at Femina Miss India. I was asked why we say ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ instead of ‘Gentlemen and Ladies.’

My answer then, and my belief even today, is that women are God’s finest creation. Women possess incredible strength, compassion, and determination, and they can achieve anything they set their minds to. When women succeed, they deserve to be recognised and given full credit for their achievements. These awards are a celebration of that spirit, honouring women who inspire others and proving that every woman has the power to rise, lead, and make a difference.”

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Senior Leader, BJP, said: “I have always been invited to various events to honour others for their achievements. But this is the first time I am being honoured myself, and that gives me immense happiness and gratitude.

I still remember sharing a small ‘Narukku Kavidhaigal’ during my first-year medical college assignment where I said, ‘Be positive because my blood group is B Positive.’ It was a simple line, but it carried a message about optimism and courage. Women should always remain strong and never give up in the face of challenges. Courage and ‘Thunichal’ should never leave a woman.

A woman should not just cross the barricades placed before her, but break them and walk over them with confidence. When women become bold and courageous, the entire world will eventually bow down to their strength and determination.”

அப்போது நான் சொன்ன பதிலும், இன்றும் என்னுடைய நம்பிக்கையும் அதேதான்! கடவுளின் ஆகச்சிறந்த படைப்பு பெண்கள்தான். பெண்களிடம் அளவில்லாத சக்தி, கருணை மற்றும் உறுதி இருக்கிறது. அவர்கள் மனதில் நினைக்கும் எதையும் சாதிக்க முடியும். பெண்கள் வெற்றி பெறும் போது, அந்த வெற்றிக்கான முழு அங்கீகாரமும் அவர்களுக்கு கிடைக்க வேண்டும். இந்த விருதுகள் அவர்களை கொண்டாடுவதற்காகவே உருவாக்கப்பட்டவை. மற்றவர்களுக்கு ஊக்கமளிக்கும் பெண்களை கௌரவித்து, முன்னேறவும் மற்றவர்களை வழிநடத்தவும், சமூகத்தில் பெண்களால் மாற்றத்தை உருவாக்க முடியும் எனவும் நிரூபிப்பதே இந்த நிகழ்வின் நோக்கம்” என்றார்.

பாஜக மூத்த தலைவர் டாக்டர் தமிழிசை சௌந்தரராஜன் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டதாவது, “மற்றவர்களின் சாதனைகளை கெளரவிக்கும் பொருட்டு பல நிகழ்ச்சிகளில் நான் விருந்தினராக அழைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன். ஆனால், இன்று எனக்கான அங்கீகாரம் கிடைப்பது மகிழ்ச்சியாக உள்ளது. மருத்துவ கல்லூரியில் முதலாம் ஆண்டு படிக்கும்போது நான் எழுதிய ஒரு ‘நறுக்கு கவிதை’எனக்கு இன்னும் நினைவில் உள்ளது. அதில் நான் ‘Be Positive, because my blood group is B Positive’ என்று எழுதியிருந்தேன். எளிமையான வரிகளாக இருந்தாலும் அந்த வரிகளின் நம்பிக்கையும் தைரியமும் எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடிக்கும்.

அதுபோல, பெண்களும் தங்களுக்கு வரும் சவால்களை தைரியமாக எதிர்கொள்ள வேண்டும். எந்த நிலையிலும் துணிச்சலை கைவிடக்கூடாது. ஒரு பெண் தன் முன்னால் வைக்கப்பட்ட தடைகளை கடந்து செல்லுவதற்குப் பதிலாக, அவற்றை உடைத்துவிட்டு தன்னம்பிக்கையுடன் முன்னேற வேண்டும். பெண்கள் தைரியமாகவும் துணிச்சலாகவும் மாறும்போது, உலகமே அவர்களின் சக்தி மற்றும் உறுதியின் முன் தலைகுனியும்” என்றார்.
