Popular celebrities Dhanush, Simran, Tamannaah, Anjali and others have shared their greetings on the special day of Maha Sivarathri on their social media pages.
Also, Dhanush, along with wife Aishwarya and other family members, paid a visit to Arulmigu Nellaiyappar temple in Tirunelveli on Friday and offered prayers. He also visited his family deity temple in Theni district.

Special prayers were conducted at Siva temples across the country and President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi among other leaders greeted the public.
