As ‘Karagattakkaran’, one of the legendary films of Tamil cinema, turned 31 years, many people took to social media to talk about the movie. Venkat Prabhu, son of the film’s director Gangai Amaren, has penned a beautiful note.
“Today marks the 31st year of our fav karagattakaran!!! The music the humour the simple story telling!!! It’s always a pleasure to watch it even today!!! #31yearsofkaragattakaran @gangaiamaren,” posted the ‘Mankatha’ and ‘Chennai 28’ maker.
‘Karagattakkaran’ is a 1989 romantic comedy film written and directed by Gangai Amaren and produced by Karumari Kandasamy and J Durai. The film stars Ramarajan and debutant Kanaka in the lead roles while Goundamani, Senthil, Santhana Bharathi, Chandrasekhar, Ganthimathi and Kovai Sarala play supporting roles.
Its revolves two Karakattam dancers who fall in love with each other, but circumstances and their egoistic nature prevent them from confessing their love for one another. How they overcome these forms the rest of the story.
