The promotional campaign for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut ‘Sigma’ has received attention from filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who watched the trailer and shared his reaction to the action-adventure.
Rajamouli described the film as an entertaining adventure with a Gen-Z flavour and expressed interest in experiencing it on the big screen. His comments came as the makers stepped up promotions following the trailer and music launch in Chennai on September 18.
The trailer introduces Sundeep Kishan as a radio host who gets pulled into a dangerous heist. His mission brings him into the orbit of underworld figure Kotlapadi Veeraiya Reddy, played by Sampath Raj.
Crime, gambling, drugs and an elaborate operation form part of the film’s backdrop, while the trailer also combines action with humour, emotion and adventure.
Faria Abdullah plays the female lead. The supporting cast includes Raju Sundaram, Shiv Panditt, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Sheela Rajkumar, Magalakshmi, Kamalesh and Kiran Konda.
Thaman is composing the music, with Krishnan Vasant handling cinematography and Praveen KL editing the film. ‘Sigma’ is now scheduled for a theatrical release on October 2, 2026. The film, which was earlier expected on July 31, will release in Tamil and Telugu during the Gandhi Jayanti weekend.
