Jr NTR and director Prashanth Neel recently joined forces for a high-octane action film slated for release on January 9, 2026.
Touted to be an epic action thriller, the film is backed by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts.
Massive sets are being erected in Hyderabad, with the regular shoot scheduled to begin in February.
Set against a period backdrop, the film features Jr NTR as a savior for Telugu people facing challenges in Bangladesh.
During a recent interview, Prashanth Neel said, “The film has no mythological touch, but it’s an epic in its own right.”
While the title ‘Dragon’ is speculated, an official confirmation is awaited.
The female lead is yet to be finalised, although Rukmini Vasanth is rumored to be in contention.
Jr NTR will join the project after completing ‘War 2’. The actor, riding high on the success of ‘Devara: Part 1’, will sport a never-seen-before look, with Neel promising to present him in a “new light.”
