Ravi Mohan on politics: Actor leaves door open while focusing on packed film lineup

Ravi Mohan has indicated that he is not ruling out a future in politics, even as his immediate focus remains firmly on cinema.

At a recent media interaction, the actor was asked whether he had considered following the growing trend of film personalities entering politics.

Ravi Mohan responded that social service and helping people are not activities limited to politicians. According to him, anyone with the intention to do good can contribute to society regardless of their profession.

He also stopped short of completely dismissing a political career for himself. Ravi Mohan said that if he develops an interest in politics at some point, there would be nothing wrong with exploring that path.

For now, the actor has several film commitments keeping him busy.

He is working on his directorial debut ‘An Ordinary Man’, which he describes as a story centred on an ordinary person whose character and actions make him extraordinary.

Ravi Mohan has also joined ‘Benz’, the Bakkiyaraj Kannan directorial that forms part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. The film features Raghava Lawrence and Nivin Pauly alongside him. His upcoming projects also include ‘Karathey Babu’, directed by Ganesh K Babu and scheduled for release on August 28.

Beyond these films, the actor has ‘Genie’ and Karthik Yogi’s ‘Bro Club’ in his lineup, giving him a busy schedule across acting and his new role behind the camera.
